Perth, house of thousand gardens

Almost all major cities in Australia have a beautiful garden and clean. This garden has a function for the greening and the lungs of the city. However, many activities can be done there, like ranging from exercise, a break and enjoying food in the gap and school activities office, or gather with family and friends while enjoying a barbecue. The latter was very well liked Australia.
Moreover, there are facilities everywhere in the form of a barbecue cooker which works just by inserting a coin a few dollars. By bringing lunch drinks, raw foods (meat and vegetables), and silverware, barbecue event took place.

One of the park is visited by many Kings Park. This beautiful park has a length about 400 hectareslocated on the western edge of Perth, not far from the Central Business District (CBD), aka business center in Western Australia. Park consists of grass, botanical gardens, and natural vegetation of the mountains Eliza. Besides being a major tourist flights to Perth, in the vast park was also found State War Memorial, the tennis courts of The Royal Kings Park Tennis Club, and the reservoir (water storage reserves). State War Memorial in writing all the names of the heroes of Western Australia who joined the Boer War, World War I and II, the Korean War, and in Vietnam.

The park was first opened August 10, 1895 it was known as Perth Park, and was renamed in 1901 as a memorial to the rise of King Edward VIII his throne as king of England, and respect of the visit George as Duke of Cornwall and Queen Mary to Perth. The daughter then gave the name of one of the main street of May Drive. Meanwhile, the Royal King's Park Tennis Club was founded in 1898 and is the Davis Cup competition. Currently the field is composed of 28 field grass (grass court) and 3 hard courts (hard court)

The main roadside park is May Drive, Lovekin Drive, and Marri was known as the Honor Walk Avenue because of its banks planted with eucalypt tree (a type of acacia tree), and in each there is a tree plaque tribute to the heroes of World War I and II, which comes from Australia . On the tablet is written the name of a war hero, age at death, place of war, and representatives of families who planted these trees. Overall, there was a tree and plaque 1100.

A very large garden is located in the altitude, so from there we can look at the beauty of Perth and the Swan River it. Clearly, every September and October, there are always organized exhibitions and performances wildflower (wild flowers) the largest in Australia.

Before the Europeans came to Perth, Mount Eliza was known as Mooro Katta and Kaarta Gar-up by Nyoongar tribe (one of the Aborigines). In the southern region are a source of drinking water Kennedy Spring (Goonininup) needed Yellagonga clan. The existence of water sources that attract beer company Swan (Swan Brewery) to establish the current business of restaurants, art galleries, and area of residence of luxury.

What was unusual was built Bali Memorial in Kings Park. The monument as a reminder of the death of Western Australia 16 people who became victims of the Bali Bombing October 12, 2002. The monument looks simple, but actually formed from the 2 axis. The first axis indicates the direction of the rising sun on October 12, and the second axis leads to an Australian flag flying in the distance, to the Swan River, and the Darling Ranges.

At Kings Park there is also a garden area of 18 hectares Kingdom, known as the Botanical Garden Western Australia with 2,000 species of plants typical of Western Australia. Garden was designed John Oldham, a landscape architect at the time, in preparation for holding of the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1962.

There were also Lotterywest Federation Walkway which has high and long bridge, so that when we cross it as if walking through the trees while listening to the chirp of wild birds flying around. There are also several groups of small parks, such as Acacia garden with unique steps for mosaic patterned fitted acacia trees, Banksia garden plants that are native to Australia, water garden, and others. There is one interesting buildings, the DNA tower. That is two sets of stairs to the top of the fruit as a picture 110 DNA chain that carries genes in living organisms.

Before leaving the Kings Park, tourists are generally not satisfied Indonesia if not shopping or just wash the eyes at Aspects of Kings Park. There we can find a variety of accessories, clothing, household items, and souvenirs work of Australian artists. If the price, do not ask, certainly enough to drain the bag. In addition to its weak dollar compared to the Australian dollar, all goods sold are made by indigenous Australians.

Other parks can also enjoy the Queens Park which is the English-style garden. The park was located in the Canning area, located 11 km from Perth city center and is a frequent crossing of those who want to take a shortcut because it is shorter in the two different sides of the road. In the park there is a replica statue of Peter Pan, which originally adorned the Kensington area of London.

Park was originally named Woodlupine. His name was later changed in 1911 because of the murder in that place. Residents and local government felt the need to change the name of this park so that the incident did not bring a bad impression that interfere with the development progress in the area. The name Queens Park as a tribute to Queen Alexandra, consort of King Edward VII. In the garden there are palm trees and beautiful flowering shrubs with a very attractive pool, and a haven of birds. If there is a bit of bread crumbs, these birds will be happy to come around us.

Another park is also famous Sterling Garden and Supreme Court Gardens. Two parks are located side by side together because it was not too broad, and was originally known as the Government Gardens, being 100 meters to the west of Government House. Where he is on the corner of St Georges Terrace and Barrack Street, west of Government House and in the north Supreme Court building. Alexander Forrest Statue made by Pietro Porcelli located at the entrance to Sterling Garden that was originally made from clay and then made prints in Paris, printed with a candle, and made of bronze, and was officially opened by Walter James on August 28, 1903. From the park we could see The Swan Bells Tower height is 82.5 meters of Perth icon.

Another park that is Burswood Park is a relatively new park for the Perth community. The park is located 3 km from the CBD and located on the banks of the Swan River for 40 years (starting in the mid 1940s) is a garbage disposal area, so the vegetation and bird life there to be disrupted. However, beginning in 1986 these areas gradually improved so that today approximately 40 varieties of birds and poultry have come back and stay.

Burswood Park is famous for never received an award as a beautiful garden, with typical bird barung-Australia as the Australian Grebe, Australian Pelican, Australian Shelduck, and much more. There are also tennis courts, golf course with 18 holes and is very popular during the casinos are open 24 hours.

Anyone who has grown old can enter into it for free, and is the only legal gambling places in Western Australia.

Another park I visited on the trip to Perth is Central Park. Before coming to my garden is a garden bayangankan downtown area as the square in Indonesia. But it turns out, the park is flanked by St George Teracce, Hay Street, and William Street was not parks for others, because it's really hidden in the building of skyscrapers in sekililingnya.

The front was also a city bus stop. But after all, the place was quite comfortable for those who want to just get some fresh air after fatigue in air-conditioned room, opening lunch, or an ideal place for a date with someone.

The last garden I visited the Victoria Park. Park area of 17 hectares in the Northeast this CBD are also on the edge of the Swan River, and before the arrival of Europeans, a bush area untreated. From there you can see the beauty of the City of Perth, including the magnificent buildings in the Burswood Casino Burswood Park.

So many parks in Perth. So much mistaken if the city can we dubbed "the city of a thousand garden."
